Fort Delaware Tour + Lunch at Crabby Dick’s

About this event:  This event covers all of the bases:  Drive to Delaware City (individually or in groups as you wish), followed by a brisk boat ride to Pea Patch Island and Fort Delaware, and then lunch at Crabby Dick’s with great views of Pea Patch Island and the Delaware River.

The particulars:

* 10:15 – 10:30 am club members and guests arrive and park at the Delaware City municipal parking lot located adjacent to Crabby Dick’s.  Waivers and Check-in required.  Please arrive on time.  Here is the location of the parking lot:  Park here!.

* 11:00 am boat ride from the Delaware City pier to Pea Patch Island.  Boat ride is 30 minutes so bring water, snacks, and Dramamine(!) if you need it.

* 1:30 pm leave Pea Patch Island and head back to Delaware City for a late lunch at Crabby Dick’s at 2pm.

Trip Suggestions and Additional Information:

* Members can drive individually or collectively to/from Delaware City as you wish.  Southern members might enjoy driving up together to enjoy the ride along Route 9 (always check for reports of high water along Route 9).

* Bring snacks, beverages, back-packs etc. so you will be comfortable, and to keep adults and kids happy until lunchtime.  Bug spray, sunscreen, etc. are also recommended.

* Parking area will be monitored while we are at Pea Patch Island so totally safe to bring your favorite Porsche as desired.

* Event is weather dependent.  Club will announce two days before the event if we need to cancel because of inclement weather.

Registration:

* Registration is via Motorsportsreg.  Cost is $10.00 for member adults, free for children.  Payment is via cash upon arrival.

* Club needs to reserve seats on the boat so please register early and notify the MSR registrar immediately if for some reason you need to cancel.

* Club members and guests pay for their own food and beverages at Crabby Dick’s.
