2024 PCA Zone 2 Advanced HPDE

Virginia International Raceway

About this event

PCA Zone 2 returns to VIR on March 22-24, 2024 for an Advanced DE as part of the weekend PCA Zone 2 Club Race event.  There will be 2 exciting options for the weekend:

1) Friday through Sunday - standard format advanced HPDE between Race sessions PLUS Sunday afternoon open track for over 3 hours -  $700

2) SUNDAY ONLY* advanced HPDE open track for over 3 hours - $150

ADVANCED Drivers Only.  No frills--just track.

Join us on the Full Course at Virginia International Raceway for this special event.

Registration:

This event is open to Advanced solo HPDE group drivers or those with Race licenses only.  Verification of Advanced solo experience (PCA Black and Red groups or equivalent) is required to be accepted for the event. You must prove you are an advanced group level HPDE driver with documentation or proof of experience within motorsportreg.com.  HPDE "expanded passing" rules apply--pass anywhere with a point-by or signal-by.  Race cars with fixed windows may use turn signals for passing signals.

** Please note that you will be marked as "Blue Group" for the purpose of this event as a way to differentiate from the Club racers.  No - you have not been demoted.**

Hotel accommodations can be made locally in Danville, VA, South Boston, VA, or Roxboro, NC, or at the track.

Please make sure all your guests (CREW) are also registered and have signed online smart phone speedwaiver. Drive safe, smart and have a great weekend. As always, “It’s not just the cars, it’s the people”.

The Friday and Saturday segments will be run between PCA Club Race sessions and will have durations between 30 minutes and 45 minutes.

The Sunday open track segment will have cars being released on track at NLT 2:45 PM. The final checker will come at 5:30 PM. Schedule will be sent prior to the event. If VIR requests a short worker break in the middle we will checker the first session and re-release after this quick break. See DRAFT schedule DRAFTVIR_Z2CRschedule2024_3RaceGroups+2Enduros+HPDE(14Feb24color).pdf

This event will follow PCA Expanded passing rules normally associated with PCA Black and Red Groups so you must show a history of driving in events with these types of rules--no exceptions. Expanded passing is simply pass anywhere with a point-by or other appropriate signal as briefed at a Driver's meeting.  Club Racers from nationally recognized series should provide proof of current race license to the registrar.  Club racers competing in the Zone 2 Club Race who want to participate in the open track on Sunday should register alongside their race registration on Clubregistration.net
